"List up to 3 ideas that you think would strengthen health equity efforts in the NE Minnesota Region" - WordCloud Results

Welcome to the Northeast Health Equity Regional Network Connection platform. This space is a tool to support work in health equity. It can be used to build relationships; support existing work and activities; to share expertise; provide resources; and influence policy, structural, and system changes with a goal to providing the best health and wellness outcomes for all.

In the July Northeast Regional Network Gathering, we spotlighted the Arrowhead Area Agency on Aging (4A's) , and flashlighted the Minnesota Department of Health Rural Health and Primary Care and their request for information on rural perspectives. The information in slide form is attached to the Presentations and Documents from Gatherings section. Last but not least, my teammate Mary Mitchell ( Northwest Regional Network Coordinator) presented on microagressions. Her power point presentation and the accompanying video is in the Presentations and Documents section as well.

I believe that shared language helps promote understanding and a view of health equity that benefits everyone.

The Health Equity Networks are focused on building connections, strengthening communities, and amplifying the interconnected work of health equity, particularly in communities and health systems. To maintain the family-friendly nature of this page, please keep comments on topic and suitable for everyone. Also, please follow our guidelines below for posting comments.

MDH and the coordinators welcome the sharing of ideas and information. Comments made by partners on this site are reviewed by the engagement admin team.

Above all, I'd love to hear your ideas and comments. Our team reviews every one and we have tried to incorporate your input into our planning for future gatherings and trainings.

I hope that you take time during the next couple of months to:

- Register on our connections site

- Put a pin in the map to show your location, AND

Please join us October 15th for the Northeast Regional Health Equity Network Gathering! Registration will be open on the Health Equity Network website in early August.

    Hello Health Equity Network Partners,

I wanted to send you all a message to celebrate our colleague Tracy Ackman-Shaw! Tracy has accepted a full-time position doing health equity and community engagement work with SHIP and will be transitioning into that role at the beginning of April. Tracy has been a wonderful team member and addition to the Minnesota Health Equity Networks team. In her time with us she has supported getting our training and technical assistance program running and providing valuable support to partners across the state. Our team and our section will miss Tracy, and I am confident she will thrive with her team and work over in OSHII.

With Tracy's departure we will be filling her vacant position for a Capacity Building Specialist for the Minnesota Health Equity Networks. Please circulate the position as we are excited to meet some great applicants! The information for how to find the post is copied below.

    Thank you all!
